I realize winter is behind us now, but I’m reposting this, the first ChellyWood.com sewing project of 2019, a semi-lined long-sleeve shirt for 18″ dolls and a simple skirt, because tomorrow’s project could easily be confused with this one.
You see, tomorrow I’ll be posting a pattern for making a skirt to fit a more narrow-bodied 18-inch doll, like the vintage Crissy dolls and the BFC Ink dolls.
I love my traditional American Girl dolls, but their body type is simply different from these other 18-inch dolls. So before posting something for these other 18-inch dolls, I thought I’d better remind you of this lovely set that fits the more traditional and popular American Girl dolls.
So here are all the patterns and tutorials you’ll need to sew a skirt and long-sleeved shirt for your traditional 18-inch dolls:
- Free tutorial video showing you how to make the skirt
- Free tutorial video showing you how to make the shirt
- Free, downloadable PDF Pattern for skirt and long-sleeved shirt
- Free printable MS Word Pattern for skirt and long-sleeved shirt
Come back tomorrow to see how this outfit differs from the other 18″ dolls’ skirt project that takes center stage this week.
