This video tutorial shows you how to make a shirt for dolls in the 14 inch to 15 inch size range (including Hearts For Hearts Girls and Wellie Wishers) and you may be surprised to find, when you watch the video, that other dolls can fit in this shirt as well.
As you can see in the still image at the start of the video, this shirt uses “wood look” buttons. You can find buttons like these on Etsy or in craft and hobby stores. I’ve provided a few links to help you locate tiny buttons.
Just in case you missed them, these are the free printable shirt patterns I posted yesterday:
- Free, printable sewing pattern for shirt back (PDF Format)
- Free, printable sewing pattern for shirt back (MS Word Format)
- Free, printable sewing pattern for shirt front and sleeve A (PDF Format)
- Free, printable sewing pattern for shirt front and sleeve A (MS Word Format)
You’ll need two patterns for this project, as the video tutorial shows. You can either print the two PDF patterns or the two MS Word patterns. All are free.
There are even more doll clothes projects coming up for dolls in this size range. I have designed a cute little wardrobe, as you can see below, and I’ve tried these doll clothes on multiple dolls, to see which ones they will fit.

So if you’re enjoying my videos and free patterns, be sure to come back for a visit. It will take me a while to post all of these patterns and tutorials here, but eventually they will get posted.
If you enjoy watching my videos and sewing with my free patterns, please remember to share my images and tutorials on social media. Thanks!
