Since the month of June is just getting underway, I thought it would be a good idea to re-post my very popular “Summer Wardrobe” patterns this week.
People often ask me, “Do you have any simple shirt patterns for Barbies?” Whenever I get that question, I pull up my “Summer Wardrobe” pattern. The shirt pattern is versatile and relatively easy to make, although it might be a little hard for children to sew.
The shorts are easy-peasy, even for the beginning sewists out there! So if you’re looking for a summer sewing project to do with little granddaughters or other kids, I recommend the shorts pattern.
So this week on ChellyWood.com, watch for a review of these outfits, the patterns, and the tutorials that accompany each piece of the “Summer Wardrobe.”

If you’re wondering why I make patterns and tutorials without charging a fee, please visit the “Chelly’s Books” page, and that should explain my general motivations. Overall, I love to sew, design doll clothes, and embroider, and I think it’s important to share my talents with the world, so others can learn to do what I do.
Want to show your appreciation for my free patterns and tutorials? Please do so by liking, pinning, tweeting, and/or somehow sharing my watermarked images (above) with others.
Did you know Chelly Wood has designed patterns for the Lammily doll company? She has! And this website will tell you more about Lammily, if you’re curious. Also, this link will take you to Chelly’s patterns on the Lammily website. Please consider showing your appreciation for Chelly’s free pattern website by purchasing patterns for your Lammily dolls.
