Scroll down to the second set of bullets for the free PDF sewing patterns and the tutorial video showing how to make this hooded raincoat.
This week I have the great honor of having this lovely raincoat pattern featured in DOLLS magazine! Those of you who regularly follow my blog have already seen this pattern and tutorial, which is found on the Hearts for Hearts Girls gallery. (Hearts for Hearts Girls and Wellie Wishers are about the same size, so they can swap clothes.)
But for any of the DOLLS magazine readers and subscribers, I thought it would be helpful to re-post this pattern and tutorial for their convenience.
If you’ve never subscribed to DOLLS before, today would be a good day to do so because not only do they offer written directions for making the hooded raincoat pattern, but I’ve also written an article for this month’s issue giving readers information about where I buy my doll clothes sewing notions, like buckles, buttons, zippers, etc… If you’re interested in subscribing, please click here.
Today’s free printable PDF skirt and shirt patterns will fit the following dolls:
- 13-inch dolls like the Disney Princess Toddler dolls
- 14-inch dolls like Hearts for Hearts Girls
- 14-inch dolls like Wellie Wishers from American Girl doll company
- 16-inch dolls like the Velvet doll from the Crissy family of dolls
And here are the patterns and tutorial videos you’re looking for:

These patterns and tutorials were part of a doll wardrobe that I designed and posted in the spring and summer of 2019. Here are some of the other items in the wardrobe:

You might want to look around my website for some of the other doll clothes items in this wardrobe, but be aware that they could be posted under another doll of a similar size.
