In today’s DIY doll clothes sewing video, you’ll see my Madame Alexander doll modeling the clothes I made with my free printable PDF sewing patterns (scroll down for these patterns). However these doll clothes will fit other 18 inch (45-46 cm) dolls too.
If you want to know whether or not this confetti outfit will fit your doll, just leave a comment. I’ll do my best to answer the question.
Here’s today’s free PDF sewing pattern for today’s sleeveless summer shirt and an easy-to-sew elastic-waist skirt to fit 18 inch dolls, plus a link to my skirt tutorial just in case you needed it:

In the image below, you can see this sleeveless top and skirt are among the many adorable pieces to this 18-inch doll wardrobe. Today’s patterns were used to make the white outfit with a confetti print fabric (purchased at JoAnn Fabric and Craft), but this shirt pattern was also used for the felt top that goes with the pajama shorts and the yellow eyelet-sleeved shirt.

At a later date, I’d like to create tutorials for making the yellow top with eyelet flutter sleeves and the daisy skirt with eyelet trim, but I may wait to post those until March or April. They seem to suit the spring season.

Hi there,
Wondering if you will ever be doing more 8-12″ chubby baby doll clothes patterns?
Thanks!

Denise, your timing is perfect! My sister has just requested more 12 inch baby doll clothes for her daughter (my 3 year old niece), for Christmas this year. So yes, there will be more. I’ve also recently bought myself a new 8″ baby doll that I will most certainly create more patterns for, although that will be at a later date.
