Today I’m posting a free, printable sewing pattern for 14-inch dolls, like Wellie Wishers, Hearts4Hearts Girls and other dolls in this size range. It will also fit some 13-inch dolls, 15-inch dolls, 16-inch dolls, and 17-inch dolls. Tomorrow’s video tutorial, showing how to make the V-neck shirt shown below, will give you an overview of some of the dolls who can wear today’s free doll clothes patterns.

Here’s the shirt we’re making with this week’s free patterns:

The image shows American Girl Wellie Wisher doll Kendall wearing a pair of pants and shirt that resemble medical scrubs. The overlay says, "ChellyWood.com: FREE doll clothes patterns and tutorials" and in fact, the website does offer a free prinable pdf pattern of these pants and this shirt to fit 14 inch or 15 inch dolls.

Specifically, I’m certain that this pattern fits the Wellie Wishers from American Girl and the Hearts for Hearts Girls.

To make this project, you’ll need the back portion of the shirt, which was part of the pattern we used in last week’s pants project, plus a new V-neck shirt front pattern and sleeve A. Both pattern pages are found below:

Tomorrow I’ll post the free tutorial video showing everyone how to make this shirt. As you can see in the images, this shirt looks great with the pants we made last week. In fact, it might make a believable set of handmade “scrubs” for a medical outfit for these dolls.

The image shows Hearts for Hearts Girls (Consuelo) wearing handmade doll clothes: a short sleeve shirt with V-neck and a pair of cotton pants. The FREE printable pdf sewing pattern for this outfit is found at ChellyWood.com, where you can find lots of free printable sewing patterns for dolls of many shapes and sizes. There's also a tutorial video showing how to make both the shirt and the pants. Patterns are free with a "creative commons attribution" mark on them, which means you can use these patterns and post them, but you need to tell people where you got your free pattern.

      1. Lol well it’s #October.
I always thought hashtags look silly. Especially long lists of them. I guess they help with searches #I’mdubious #alsosilly

    1. For scrubs, one could put cargo pants pockets on the pants and patch pockets on the top and it would be perfect!

      1. Thanks, Chelly! One of my granddaughters wants to be a vet, that will be so cute!

  1. hi i dont understand on where i have to get the patterns i wanted

    1. Hi there. I see that you’re unable to print a pattern from my website.

I served as a librarian for 10 years before I retired, so I’m going to suggest that you visit your public library. We librarians are very good a helping people print things. We get practice with it every day.

Most libraries will charge you a small fee for the use of paper and ink, like 25 cents or 50 cents. But you should be able to print with a little help from someone who has had practice with PDF files, and most librarians do.

Best of luck to you! 🙂

      1. Please watch this video. It’s designed to help you find what you’re looking for.

Downloading difficulties are not something I can help you with because everyone’s device is different. In other words, some people use a MacBook; some use an Android phone; some use any variety of brands of PCs with various software on them. Each of these has a different way to download a pattern. That’s why you’ll need to get someone locally to help you.

Your librarian (at your public library) should be able to help you. They are well versed in all types of software, cell phone, tablet, and computer. They will be able to help you find the download and print buttons.

Meanwhile, the video I’ve provided for my followers shows exactly how to find the patterns you need. That’s all I can help you with from a distance. You’ll need to get help from someone who lives nearby you, if you want help with the methods for downloading and printing that are available to you.

  2. hi how do i download the free pattern i was expexting a name or sometghing similarto click on for the pattern
