As my regular followers know, I’m selling a few of my doll-related items in my eBay store lately, to make room for new things. This week I’m selling an adorable pink and blue Polly Pocket ice cream delivery truck and a pink and blue scooter.
In keeping with my Black History Month theme, the Little Person I’m selling would pass for African American too.
I bought this Polly Pocket miniature ice cream truck, thinking I would design a fun scene with Mattel’s Kelly and Chelsea dolls, but as you can see in the image below, both Kelly and Chelsea are a bit too big to actually fit inside the ice cream truck. NOTE: These dolls are NOT being sold with the truck:

It should also be noted that the Chelsea doll can ride the scooter, as shown below:

But Kelly dolls have to sit sideways in order to “ride” the scooter:

Even though the dolls didn’t fit the diorama props perfectly, I really wanted to create some fun sets for these dolls. Unfortunately, those project ideas were put on hold, and now, with my daughters going off to college, I’m down-sizing my doll clothes design studio.
So I’m going to let this cute little set go, along with one Fisher Price Little People toy person and the miniature scooter you see here (please note the paint issues):

I honestly think this little ice cream truck / ice cream delivery wagon would be fabulous for anyone building doll houses in a smaller-than-1:12 scale. If you’ll notice, its little doors open, and there’s a tiny seat in there for a smaller-than-1:12 scale doll to sit on. Also, the back flaps down to make a cute little checkered floor for a table and chairs.

I wish I had made time to create a fun diorama myself, but alas, I’ve had this little ice cream cart for two or three years now, with no dioramas to show for it. So it’s time to sell it and move on.

If you decide to buy these adorable miniatures, it’s my sincere hope that you will find a little bit of joy in them or give them to someone who will!

By the way, if that link doesn’t work, that means someone has already bought it. So sorry!
But if you’re not too late, I may still have other items for sale in my eBay store. Here’s a link!
Some of you are probably wondering when I’m going to make clothes for my male Chelsea and Friends doll. Yes, eventually I’ll make him some clothes and share those designs with you, but there’s nothing on the drawing board at this time. I did buy him for designing clothes though. So eventually that will happen.
Feel free to leave a comment as a request. Should I make my male Chelsea doll a pair of shorts and a T-shirt, a pair of overalls with a long-sleeved shirt, a pair of pajamas, or something else…?
There are already free patterns for Kelly and Chelsea female dolls on this website, and you can locate those free printable PDF sewing patterns by clicking on the links provided.
