As you may have noticed, the contest, which I posted yesterday, is for just the clothing pictured above. It doesn’t include the sword, which is crucial to the whole “Ninja Steel®” look and feel.

So how do you get your own samurai sword in 1:6 scale? Simple: eBay or Amazon.

As you can see, in the image at the top of the page, the sword that I use in my stop-motion video of Ninja Barbie® is reminiscent of the ones used in the anime movies and manga books, BleachTo purchase one of these 1:6 scale swords on eBay, just search for the words “Bleach sword keychains.” They come in a variety of colors, including blue, pink, white, and the black one shown in my video.

On Amazon, you can also search for Bleach sword keychain to get similar results.

But be advised: you want a sword that measures about 16 cm or 6.5 inches long, in order for the sword to fit your doll’s 1:6 scale. Also, note that not all sword keychains come with the sheath. Some will also show a cool-looking sword display stand, but most of them do not come with that stand. So do a little research before buying. Make sure you know exactly what you’re getting for your money.

As always, it’s a good idea to look at shipping and handling costs when buying from eBay or Amazon as well. Sellers will make the sword itself look like a heck of a deal (maybe $5 American or whatever) but jack up the price of shipping to $15 so you’re not really getting a good deal at all.

To learn more about my sweepstakes contest, in which I’ll be giving away the ninja mask and full-length bodysuit shown in the image at the top (fits Barbie® and most similar-sized fashion dolls), please go to my Free Stuff page. I posted the contest on Tuesday, February 21st, 2017 (yesterday). The contest ends on March 21st at midnight, 2017.

After March 21st, 2017, I’ll be posting my free sewing patterns and tutorials for this ninja outfit, so you, too, can make a ninja costume for your fashion dolls. To find that free pattern and the tutorials that go with it, please visit my Gallery page.  That’s the easiest way to search through all of my patterns to find what you want. Each image on the Gallery Page takes you to links for patterns and tutorials.

Need help printing my patterns? This link will take you to a tutorial showing you how to download my free, printable patterns.

Please note: you must enlarge my patterns to fit a full-sized piece of American computer paper (8.5 x 11 inches or 216 x 279 mm) without margins, before printing. These designs use a 1/4 inch seam (standard for fashion doll sewing projects).

In case you haven’t heard, I’ve also designed commercial patterns for Lammily LLC. They have some new dolls in their line, including a new male doll, so you might want to visit the Lammily website to see what they’ve got going on.

I also have a series of tutorials for the beginning sewists on my YouTube channel. It includes video tutorials showing you how to do a basic straight stitch when sewing by hand, how to gather fabric, how to use the whipstitch to hem a garment, how to sew on snaps, and even how to design your own doll clothes patterns, just like I do!
