As I’ve said in earlier posts, the pattern for these jeans was designed specifically to fit Spin Master Liv Doll Jake. If you’re not familiar with the Liv Dolls, they were manufactured and distributed from 2009 to 2012, but Spin Master quit producing them. They have gorgeous, very realistic-looking eyes. But best of all, they are highly articulated.
For those of us who enjoy doing doll photography, there’s nothing more wonderful than a doll with a highly articulated body! Such a doll can be posed in many different ways, as you’ll see in this video in which I show you how to sew a pair of pocket jeans for Jake.
Of course my pattern for these jeans was posted earlier, but you can find the pattern you need under the sub-heading “Doll Clothes for Male 12.5 inch or 317.5 mm/32 cm Fashion Dolls (like Ken)” on my Free Doll Clothes Patterns page. Need help printing my patterns? This link will take you to a tutorial showing you how to download my free, printable patterns.
If you’re wondering why I make patterns and tutorials without charging a fee, please visit the “Chelly’s Books” page, and that should explain my general motivations. Overall, I love to sew, design doll clothes, and embroider, and I think it’s important to share my talents with the world, so others can learn to do what I do.
