This image shows Chelly Wood (doll clothes designer) holding up a Skipper doll. She has opened up the back of Skipper's pajamas to expose the little shorts that go underneath the PJ's, and although these shorts were primarily designed to fit Barbie, we see that they also fit this modern Skipper (dated 2010). The blog post that goes with this image (found at ChellyWood.com) suggests that the old skipper from the 1960s and 1970's is different from Modern skipper, in terms of her measurements. All body measurements for the 2010 skipper are provided with the blog post.

#TapeMeasureTuesday: What are the modern Skipper doll’s #sewing measurements?

However if you want the waist to fit Skipper snugly, you should really measure Skipper’s waist for your elastic when you make the shorts, not Barbie’s. Skipper’s waist is 8 cm in circumference, whereas my MTM … Continue reading #TapeMeasureTuesday: What are the modern Skipper doll’s #sewing measurements?
