It has been a while since I posted something for the little Bratz dolls. So today’s free patterns can be used to make a cotton shirt and a pair of elastic-waist shorts, to fit your Bratz doll.
The sleeve and bodice front are all one piece, for this shirt, so it’s relatively easy to make. But please read the text below for the caveats related to today’s free doll clothes sewing patterns.

When you get to the part where I give you the patterns and tutorials, I’m going to link you to a tutorial showing the same shirt on Lottie dolls. So don’t be discouraged by that. You’ve got the exact same pattern for the shirt that fits Lottie. It also fits Bratz dolls.
The shorts pattern, however, is one I designed for Skipper, so the tutorial for making the shorts will show Skipper in similar shorts.
The important thing to note is that the shorts pattern for Lottie does NOT fit Bratz. You’ll need the Skipper shorts pattern instead.
You’ll notice, in my photos, that I’ve chosen to have the shirt open and close in the front. In the tutorial video, it opens and closes in the back.
I think you’ll find that either way works.
To make today’s doll clothing, you will likely need one of the following items:
- cotton fabrics on Amazon
- cotton broadcloth fabrics on Etsy
- cotton small print fabrics on Etsy
- cotton fat quarters on Amazon (18 inches by 21 inches of fabric)
- Dritz variety snaps (use the smallest ones)
- 1/8 inch elastic on Amazon
- 3/4 inch sew-on Velcro on Amazon
- chopsticks (for inverting doll clothes)
- Dritz fabric pencil
- Fiskars Stitchers mini snips (for clipping seams efficiently)
- Gutermann sewing machine thread
