I needed a lazy susan for my kitchen because my condiments and spices were being kept in a messy pileup on the counter. So I bought a lovely wicker and wooden lazy susan from Blubird Haven Giftshop on Etsy.
I planned to keep olive oil in my lazy susan, among other things, so I created a fantastic washable lazy susan cover, and in today’s video, I’ll show you how to make one for your lazy susan (AKA condiment turntable) as well!

The Blubird Haven lazy susan is a fantastic tool, and it makes a great gift too! I think they’re reasonably priced on Etsy. Mine was about $46 with shipping and worth every penny.
You can set your lazy susan on the table for Easter dinner, and even if someone spills sticky juice or other food items all over it, if you follow the instructions in my video (layering a piece of plastic under the cloth cover), then it should be easy enough to clean up the aftermath. I just used a plastic grocery bag in the bed of my lazy susan to give it that extra layer of protection.
It should also be noted that I bought the Blubird Haven tabletop lazy susan with a 10.5 inch diameter, so my pattern will fit that particular diameter with a 1 and a half inch extension alteration to the pattern. (I talk about this in the video.)

To explain more concisely, I used my Barbie-sized poodle skirt pattern for my lazy susan cover, so you have to add 1 and a half inches all the way around the poodle skirt pattern’s circumference, in order to make this pattern work for your 10.5 inch diameter lazy susan tray. So please keep that in mind!
I haven’t officially released my Barbie poodle skirt DIY sewing tutorial video yet. I guess I need to do that! I’ve added it to my “Life Balance To-Do List,” though, so it should be coming out pretty soon. You can follow my YouTube channel if you want to see that tutorial as soon as it’s available.
