Sew a pretty long-sleeved Shirt for Tinkerbell or other 8-inch to 9-inch fashion dolls with today’s free doll clothes patterns!

Please scroll down to the second set of bullets for the free printable PDF sewing patterns and links to any additional relevant tutorial videos.

Today’s video and free doll shirt pattern will show you how to sew a long-sleeved shirt that will fit 8 inch to 9 inch dolls like the Tinkerbell fairy dolls from Disney. There’s a whole list of dolls that will fit this shirt in the first set of bullets below.

I was hoping this shirt would fit the LOL Surprise dolls that I recently posted a new gallery of patterns for, but unfortunately, the sleeves are quite a bit too long. However, if you’re good at making pattern alterations, it wouldn’t be too hard to alter the sleeve length.

To learn more about how to make pattern alterations, take a look at my paid course in pattern alterations for doll clothes sewing projects, on the Creative Spark online learning platform.

A Disney Tinkerbell fairy 9 inch fashion doll models some handmade doll clothes including a long-sleeved shirt with a striped pattern and a pair of matching orange pants (matching the orange stripes in the shirt). She stands facing just to the left of the viewer, with her feet together. Her hair is done up in a high messy bun. She wears black pumps beneath her long pants.

To make this adorable little long-sleeved shirt for your 8 inch or 9 inch fashion dolls, you’ll need some cotton fabric and a few Dritz size 4/0 snaps. That’s it!

Now, in my video, I do mention the little Fiskars Stitchers snips that are ideal for clipping corners. Click on that link to find them.

I highly recommend owning a pair of Fiskars Stitchers, for anyone who makes tiny little doll clothes. They’re super sharp and the fine tip helps with precision clipping.

The JPG image of the 8 inch to 9 inch doll shirt pattern has a bodice front pattern, a bodice back pattern, and a long sleeve pattern. The pattern is marked with four flowers, indicating that it is for experienced sewists. Beginners will find the pattern very challenging. Average sewists will find it's a little harder than average, but do-able for most. The pattern pieces tell how many pieces you'll need of each pattern piece. The pattern is marked with the Chelly Wood dot com logo and the Creative Commons Attribution symbol.
