A lovely African or African American Barbie with light brown eyes and a chocolate complexion stands before a turquoise blue watery colored swatch of fabric. Her purple clothes sharply contrast against the background turquoise blue color. She stands in high heel purple plastic shoes with her feet spread slightly apart. She wears a medium purple cotton pair of elastic waist ankle pants and a matching purple cotton tank top with cotton straps. The tank top has darts. I first posted this pattern for the Queens of Africa dolls, but my Queens of Africa doll wears these pants like capris. Petite Barbie wears the pants as ankle pants, though, and they fit her nicely around the hips (unlike Skipper pants, which don’t want to go over Petite Barbie‘s hips).

The tank top is a style I’ve had on this website for a long time. I think it looks really nice on Petite Barbie, when paired with these pants.

To make these pants, you’ll need some cotton fabric and 1/8 inch elastic. The tank top will require cotton fabric and Dritz size 2/0 snaps.

Today’s patterns will fit these dolls:
