This week on ChellyWood.com, we’re making a pair of capri pants for 9 inch dolls like my World of Love Soul doll (made by Hasbro). If you’re wondering whether or not this pattern will fit your doll, please look back at yesterday’s guessing game contest. You can win free fabric, miniature buttons, and snaps!

Next Tuesday I’ll also be offering the exact measurements for my World of Love Soul doll, so you can compare her size to your doll, to make sure these patterns will fit.

Without further ado, here’s today’s free printable pattern in PDF form:

Next week I’m hoping to announce the winner of yesterday’s contest (which is still going on) and post patterns for making the shirt that goes with this week’s pants, shown below:

Soul, one of the 9-inch World of Love dolls from Hasbro, stands alone in a room with a single office chair and window. She wears capri pants made of a cotton fabric that's decorated with tiny leaves in pink, purple, and turquoise blue-green. She wears a matching lavender shirt with two tiny buttons at the top. The shirt has long sleeves and a conservative rounded neckline but no collar. She wears tiny white plastic flats. If you would like to make an outfit like this for your 9-inch (23 cm) dolls, you can find the free, printable PDF patterns at ChellyWood.com along with tutorial videos showing how to make both the shirt and the capri pants. 1. Love your site and patterns. I would dearly love to see some patterns for a doll like Tiny Tears and Betsy Wetsy.
Thanks and keep up the good work.

    1. I’ll add these two dolls to my request list, but I do not own those dolls right now. I usually shop second hand stores for dolls that people have requested, and once they’re on my radar, I usually do find one to sew for. But it can take more than a year to go from request to an actual pattern available on my site. So don’t hold your breath! But thank you for inspiring a new project.

    2. Hey Emily, I looked up both Betsy Wetsy and Tiny Tears on eBay. They seem to come in multiple sizes. Is there a size you’re wanting patterns for in particular? And by the way, I’d venture to guess that my halter top / halter dress pattern will fit both of these. It’s a wrap-around pattern, so it’s pretty easy to fit on most baby dolls ranging from 12″ to 15″ or perhaps even bigger / smaller.

Here’s the link to the halter dress.
