In a purple frame, a doll wearing Renaissance clothes including a cloak, the harlequin tunic, and bicolored pants, holds up a handmade wine bottle. The words over this photo say, "free pattern" and the ChellyWood.com logo appears in one corner. The photo of the doll is from Chelly Wood's "Romeo and Juliet with Dolls," a stop motion video.

For your free patterns and tutorial videos, please scroll down to the second set of bullets. In my Romeo and Juliet with Dolls stop motion video, there’s a minor character, Samson, who “begins the fray” in the marketplace, by biting his thumb. In this photograph, we see a Barbie doll dressed in a Renaissance ball gown with detached, lace-up sleeves. The gown is made of teal blueish green cotton fabric, and it is decorated with tiny flowers in a Renaissance tapestry style. Her undergarment -- a Renaissance or medieval shift dress with long sleeves, is burgundy, to match some of the burgundy colored flowers in the print of the dress. She wears a burgundy colored tiara hat with a renaissance style hat made of cotton and tulle with elastic to hold it in place. The hat is much like a tiara in the way it fits, with tulle splayed all around the head in lacy ruffles. The doll holds a medieval or Renaissance period stringed instrument (it's actually of Japanese origin). She stands in a marketplace beside a wooden crate and a straw wheeled basket. She appears to be selling pottery, balls of yarn, and logs of firewood. The ChellyWood.com logo floats above the scene in the upper left hand corner of the photo. This doll dress is worn in the Chelly Wood production of "Romeo and Juliet with Dolls" on YouTube, found at ChellyWood1.
