When you sew for Barbie and dolls that are smaller than Barbie, I recommend buying 1/8 inch skinny elastic from Elastic by the Yard. This brand’s elastic comes on a cardboard spool, which is nice for storage purposes.

You can buy it in a variety of different colors, but I tend to just buy white for simplicity’s sake.
