Description
Of all the fabrics I have listed here, beginners who are new to sewing will find it easiest to work with solid cotton fabrics or solid felt fabrics. “Solid” means it’s all one color without a decorative print on it.
What makes it easy to work with solid colors? You don’t have to worry about “right side” vs. “wrong side” as much. Once you have seams in your garment, though, then the terms “right side” and “wrong side” will apply.
Please consult my sewing advice, which usually appears near the top of a project’s blog post, to make sure you’re choosing a fabric that will work with my free doll clothes patterns. I often put links directly into the blog post, so you can easily find the fabric I recommend for each outfit.
