I’ve noticed my YouTube channel’s growth rate has slowed down a bit, and I began to wonder if people who briefly viewed my tutorial videos were uninterested because they thought it was AI generated, especially since I don’t show my face until the end of most of my videos.
So I designed this video to make it obvious that there’s a real person behind the creation of my tutorial videos. I’ll probably put this video on the landing page for visitors to my YouTube channel.
This is especially important for viewers who don’t speak English because, as you will hear in the video, I’ve asked Google to translate my videos for me. That means, in another language besides English, it sounds like AI is talking (because essentially, it is — Google Translate is talking).

I’m sure some of you are wondering if I’m going to come back to my Ken/GI Joe/Action Man projects, and yes, I will. I started working on the trousers tutorial recently.
However, when the “Who is Chelly Wood IRL” video goes live, I’ll be at a conference in the Seattle area. So hang in there. Those tutorials are coming shortly after I get back!
Meanwhile, my poor husband is in charge of feeding our cats, watering the garden, and cooking his own meals. The poor guy!
Ugh… The poor cats!
