When my oldest daughter was in middle school, about 10 years ago, she was a big fan of Breyer model horses and Breyer Rider dolls. So I originally designed this pattern to fit the Breyer riders.
However, as you can see in the images above and below, the Monster High and Ever After High dolls can also fit into this dress. I only wish the skirt was a bit longer to accommodate their longer legs.

Of course that sort of alteration isn’t hard to do, and as my regular followers know, I do teach a course on doll clothes pattern alterations, on the Creative Spark Online Learning platform. So if you want an “experience” instead of another set of oven mitts for Christmas this year, maybe let your family members know that one of my online classes would make a nice Christmas gift.
Today’s project will require the use of a printed cotton fabric, a solid cotton fabric, some lace trim, and size 3/0 Dritz snaps.
Today’s free pattern will fit the following dolls:
- Monster High female dolls
- 8 inch Bratz dolls
- Ever After High dolls
- 8 inch Breyer Rider dolls
- Disney 9 and a half inch fairy dolls like Tinkerbell
- Mego 8-inch female action figures
- Hasbro World of Love vintage dolls
Here’s the free printable PDF doll clothes sewing pattern for making today’s doll clothes:
- Pattern for making a pioneer dress, bloomers, and purse (the bonnet and riding hood won’t fit your MH/EAH dolls)
- Tutorial video showing how to make the dress
- Tutorial video showing how to make the bloomers
- Tutorial video showing how to make a drawstring purse
For the drawstring purse, use the rectangle that looks sort of like a business card as your pattern. That’s the rectangle found directly under the word “Style” on the pattern.
