Make a snowflake dress for 8-inch baby dolls w/free patterns @ ChellyWood.com #HolidayEmbroidery #DollClothes

Lying on homemade baby blanket is a Lil Cutesie 8 inch baby doll (AKA Little Cutesie) wearing a handmade doll dress. The dress is sleeveless and it has a pink felt bodice attached to a white cotton flannel skirt that's decorated with tiny snowflakes. She wears pink felt booties to match the dress bodice, and barely visible under her dress is a matching diaper. All of these doll clothes patterns are free at Chelly Wood dot com.
Please visit ChellyWood.com for free printable sewing patterns for making doll clothes to fit dolls of many shapes and all different sizes.

These Lil’ Cutesies baby dolls will be making a cameo appearance in the class I’ll be offering with Creative Spark. They’re a product from JC Toys, and I just love the details in their dimpled fingers and realistically wrinkled little toes!

If you’re thinking about buying a baby doll for a child you know, for Christmas, let me suggest that these little 8-inch dolls are the perfect gift!

This week’s free sewing pattern will fit most 8″ (20 cm) baby dolls. Today’s free PDF sewing pattern comes with two pieces… the dress at the top of this blog post and the little pattern for a diaper that you see here:

For today’s project, though, we won’t need the sleeve that’s found on the diaper page because we’re making this little dress with a sleeveless felt bodice.

Below are the links to the patterns and tutorial videos that will help you create today’s dress, diaper, and shoes for 8-inch baby dolls:

What’s unique about this baby doll dress? It includes a little embroidered snowflake on the front of the felt bodice. Of course that’s optional, but if you’d like to learn how to make that, here’s a link to my snowflake embroidery tutorial:
