Yesterday’s tutorial video showed you how to make a teeny-tiny felt-and-cotton dress for 4 inch dolls (10 cm dolls) like Mattel’s Kelly doll. But did you notice that the same dress fits Strawberry Shortcake?
Well this morning, I got up and tried it on my Lemon Meringue doll — a toddler-sized doll from the early vintage Strawberry Shortcake collection of dolls — and guess what… It fit her!
So I’m posting the same pattern again, with the addition of the Strawberry Shortcake toddler dolls in the list below.
Once again, you’ll need yellow felt for the bodice and a tiny-print cotton fabric for the skirt. You’ll also need some very small size 1/0 Dritz snaps for the back of your doll’s dress.
Which dolls will fit these doll clothes?
- Mattel’s Kelly dolls (4 inches or 10 cm)
- Mattel’s vintage Heart Family baby doll (4 inches tall)
- vintage Strawberry Shortcake 5 inch (13 cm) dolls
- vintage Strawberry Shortcake toddler dolls (4 inches or 10 cm tall)
- some dollhouse-sized dolls (1:12 scale)
