This week we’re using a pattern we’ve had before, but we’re going to throw out the idea of creating wardrobe separates. Instead, let’s make a fall-fabric dress for 8 or 9 inch dolls (that would be 20 to 23 cm metric).
With this adaptation to the pattern provided, your Stacie doll, Bratz doll, vintage Sunshine family doll, or other dolls in this size range can attend their Halloween parties in a cute little party dress with contrasting ribbon trim!
Today’s free pattern will fit the following dolls:
- Monster High female dolls
- 8 inch Bratz dolls
- Ever After High dolls
- Kuu Kuu Harajuku dolls (9 and a half inch)
- Spin Master La Dee Da dolls (it fits loosely)
- Disney 9 and a half inch fairy dolls like Tinkerbell
- Mattel’s 9 inch Stacie dolls
- Hasbro World of Love vintage dolls
- vintage Sunshine Family dolls
Here’s the free printable PDF doll clothes sewing pattern for making today’s autumn party dress, plus a couple of helpful additional tutorials:

The doll shown in the video and in the image above isn’t exactly a Stacie doll; she’s a friend of Mattel’s Stacie doll (one of Barbie’s little sisters). This doll comes from the Team Stacie / Friend of Stacie doll collection. Be sure to visit the Mattel-Barbie website to learn more about these adorable dolls!
