Last week we got some ideas for making “harvest pants” and a miniskirt-with-top combo for 8 inch or 9 inch dolls. Today’s easy sewing project is for the absolute beginners out there: sew a felt dress with eyelet trim.
I’ve recently been contacted by a couple of grandmothers who are teaching their granddaughter to sew. This project is great for little hands learning to sew by hand! And even if your granddaughter doesn’t have a vintage World of Love doll (pictured at the top of this post), this little eyelet-trim dress will fit lots of other dolls too…
Today’s free pattern will fit the following dolls:
- Monster High female dolls
- 8 inch Bratz dolls
- Ever After High dolls
- 8 inch Breyer Rider dolls
- Kuu Kuu Harajuku dolls (9 and a half inch)
- Spin Master La Dee Da dolls
- Disney 9 and a half inch fairy dolls like Tinkerbell
- Mattel’s 9 inch Stacie dolls
- Hasbro World of Love vintage dolls
- vintage Sunshine Family dolls
- Mego 8-inch female action figures
Here’s the free printable PDF doll clothes sewing pattern for making today’s felt dress:
