Usually when I post a Dollstagram, I offer my patterns as well, but this post is a special shoutout to my niece, Zoë. Her birthday was a month ago, and during her birthday week I was busy grading final exams. So I started sewing her gift late. However I wanted to be sure and post a picture of the dress I made for her, so she would feel just as special, even though my hand-made gift arrived a month too late.
This dress seems to fit our American Girl knockoff very well, but it was actually designed for a baby doll. I used McCall’s Crafts pattern #2862, which was a hand-me-down gift from my mother in law. (You can see a picture of it in the center of that pattern image.) And here’s how mine turned out. I hope you like it, Zoë! Try it on different dolls and send me pics!

I’d like to say a special thank-you to J.N. Bradley, who sent me this pretty ballerina slipper fabric as part of a Facebook fabric exchange. I had a lot of fun making this little beauty!
