#TapeMeasureTuesday: What #dolls’ clothes can Ideal’s Tammy #doll wear?

If you look at the photo I’ve posted today, you can see that vintage Tammy dolls (made by the Ideal Toy Corporation) can’t swap clothes with Barbie very well. My Curvy Barbie (right) is wearing pants made with the same pattern as Tammy’s plaid pants. Curvy looks more like a samurai than a fashion model in these pants! Tall Barbie looks like she’s waiting for … Continue reading #TapeMeasureTuesday: What #dolls’ clothes can Ideal’s Tammy #doll wear?

The image shows a Tammy doll (made by Ideal Toy Corporation) wearing a pair of handmade pants and a hand-sewn shirt. She stands next to a piece of furniture that is just her size, and it looks like a curio cabinet or china hutch. On this hutch are dozens of little tiny dishes with decorative paint, neatly arranged. The tammy doll's hair is drawn back in a pony tail. The wallpaper behind her is purple or lilac-colored. She looks at the camera with the forlorn eyes of the vintage Tammy doll, but it does look like she has been repainted with soft color to her lips. The fabric of her handmade pants is decorated with very small nautical print, showing sailboats, anchors, and very small red fish. The overlay explains where you can find the free printable sewing patterns for making this whole outfit: ChellyWood.com.

This document is a free printable sewing pattern for an apron that will fit most 11.5 inch dolls. The apron can be used as a pinafore, as it does wrap around a doll's waist and tie at the back, but the straps of the apron are fixed in place, much like a full-dress pinafore. This apron has functional pockets and is also available to make as a reversible apron. It will fit dolls in the size range of Barbies, Liv Dolls, Momoko dolls, Queens of Africa, Francie, Midge, and many similar-sized fashion dolls. This apron comes with a free tutorial showing you how to make it as a pinafore to be worn over our "harvest" style sunflower dress. Visit ChellyWood.com to get the free tutorial videos and the pattern for the dress as well.
