How to sew Tinkerbell fairy doll dresses for the holidays with free patterns @ ChellyWood.com #DollCollector #DollClothesPatterns

A Tinkerbell fairy Disney princess nine inch fashion doll models a handmade Christmas dress with an above-the-knee pencil skirt and a tiny little simple-to-sew bodice that's held up with one-eighth inch red satin ribbon straps. The doll's yellow-blond hair is done up in a Disney Tinkerbell style on-top-of-the-head messy bun. The doll stands with her Barbie-doll-like arms extended as she poses in an empty room that has a blue wall and a white floor. The Chelly Wood dot com logo appears in one corner of the image, reminding us that there are plenty of free sewing patterns and tutorial videos which show us how to make this and other doll clothes for Tinkerbell fairy dolls.

This week we’re sewing a pretty red plaid dress for the little Disney Tinkerbell fairy 9 inch dolls.  We’re getting closer and closer to Christmas, so I made my little dress for Tinkerbell out of a lightweight cotton/polyester blend red and green plaid fabric, the colors of the season.

I frequent my local Goodwill and other second-hand stores in my area, and these little fairy dolls are easy enough to find in pretty good condition, in many second-hand stores. But there’s a full list of all the little 8 to 10 inch dolls that will fit in this dress pattern in the first set of bullets below.

A Tinkerbell fairy 9 inch doll stands in a snowy landscape, with evergreen boughs and holly berries in the snow beside her. She wears a handmade pencil-skirt-style dress with ribbon straps on a simple bodice. The dress is made of red and green plaid cotton-polyester blend fabric. She wears little black pumps made of plastic.

But honestly, any cotton fabric will work for this dress. To make the dress, you’ll also need some 1/8 inch (3 mm) matching Offray ribbon and a few size 1/4 Dritz snaps.
