My Curvy Barbie is just so lovely in this three-tier skirt with a tee shirt. She looks ready to take a summer vacation!
But I want to remind you that the tee shirt she’s wearing is a tight fit, so be sure to use jersey fabric with a good amount of stretch to it. If you use non-stretch cotton, it may not fit her properly, as this tee was originally designed for a regular Barbie.

Now, with today’s project, I advise that you use stretchy jersey fabric and some size 3/0 snaps for the T-shirt. And for the skirt, you’ll want some small print cotton fabric as well as solid cotton fabric, and 1/8 inch wide elastic for the casing.

*Today’s patterns will fit these dolls:
- Curvy Barbie (from Mattel)
- Made-to-Move Curvy Barbie (from Mattel)
- Vintage Tammy dolls (from Ideal Toy Corp.)
- Regular Barbie dolls (from Mattel)

R u going to do a tutorial on making a jacket with lining?
Hi Isabell. Currently I have cut out my regular Barbie winter coat project to re-do and update that tutorial video. I’ve been meaning to work on it for a while, but I haven’t gotten to it yet.
I also have a bolero jacket project designed and sewn. The tutorial for that project is in the “need to finish” queue, so it may appear on my website before the winter coat project.
If you’re looking for a coat to fit Curvy Barbie, I’m not 100% sure that either of these coat/jacket projects will fit Curvy, but I usually do a try-on experiment before I publish new patterns. So hopefully the bolero will fit Curvy! If you follow my website or my YouTube channel already, you should see one of those projects when they get posted.
