This week I’m giving you the free printable PDF sewing patterns for making the “summer fun” outfit shown at the top of this blog post, to fit Hairmazing Fashion Forward “swimsuit” dolls.
If you live in the northern hemisphere of our beautiful earth, sewing for summer gives you a fanciful break from the cold weather. If you live in the southern hemisphere, your dolls are enjoying the summer sun, so the timing is just perfect!

Like I said in last week’s blog post, these patterns have been available before, but for two different dolls. The Hairmazing Fashion Forward dolls have Barbie-sized hips with a Stacie-sized upper body, so the top was designed to fit a smaller doll (6 inch American Girl, originally), while the skirt was designed (originally) to fit Barbie.
The shoes that you see in these images were first designed to fit the Monster High/Ever After High dolls. I do have patterns and tutorials for making them. Click here to find those.
Thank you, one more time, dear Chanda, my sister-in-law, for this wonderful gift of a doll and all the outfits she has inspired!

If you’d like to make this outfit, you’ll need some cotton fabric for the skirt, some jersey fabric for the top, size 3/0 snaps, and 1/8 inch elastic.
Today’s patterns will fit these dolls:
