Today’s sewing project probably looks familiar to my regular followers. I’m trying to bridge some of the gaps in my tutorial videos by re-making original tutorials for dolls of different sizes.

This tutorial shows you how to make a crop top to fit 10 inch dolls like Disney Princess dolls, Skipper, Momoko and more. For a full list of dolls that will fit this pattern, please scroll down to the first set of bullets.

For today’s crop top shirt project, I recommend using a stretchy jersey fabric and Dritz size 2/0 sew-on snaps. With this link, you can buy 10 Dritz size 2/0 sew-on snaps from Amazon.

Today’s pattern will fit these dolls:

Here are your free, printable PDF sewing patterns for making the crop top shown in the video at the start of this post:

If you’re also making the shorts or a skirt, I recommend that you use 1/8 inch wide elastic.

  1. Hi, my daughter and I attempted the crop top and the tshirt from the sheet is completely different from the video 🙁

    1. Hi Cristina. I, too, have been making this T-shirt for Christmas gifts this year. I printed the PDF, used jersey fabric (as recommended), and I’ve made several of them to fit various fashion dolls.

      I haven’t had any problems.

Are you printing this PDF? Because if you try to print from a JPG image, a lot of times, it re-sizes the pattern incorrectly.

Feel free to email me. Send me photos. What seems to be the problem? What T-shirt pattern do you have? I’d like to see the pattern photographed next to a measurement tool like a ruler. That way I can see if maybe your printer is set for a different size print-out.

That email link goes to my website’s “Contact” page. Please contact me first via email. I’ll send you a reply, and then you can email me again with photos. I’d like to get to the bottom of this! I want your daughter to have a fantastic, positive sewing experience!

    2. I wonder… Did you cut the T-shirt on the fold? If you don’t cut it on the fold, it will look very different from the one in the video. Essentially, it would look like half a T-shirt.
