Announcement: Guess who’s making an appearance on ChellyWood.com in December…

An Elf on the Shelf doll leans back with his hands behind his head, looking very sly indeed. He wears his usual all-red suit with tiny black belt and red stocking cap that has a teeny little pom-pom on the end. There are two Christmas presents wrapped and tied with a bow at his feet.

Since this blog began, every December I’ve gotten requests from its followers to create a few doll clothes patterns to fit the Elf on the Shelf doll. Last year, my inbox was full of requests for Elf on the Shelf outfits!

But I didn’t own an Elf on the Shelf… until last January.

Elf on the Shelf sits with his hands and arms wrapped around his legs, in his original packaging.

After the Christmas rush was over, the little Elf on the Shelf pictured above was on sale at my local Fred Meyer (Kroger) store, and I bought him!

He came in a classy little magnetically sealed keepsake box, and he came with a cute book too! Here’s a link to the Elf on the Shelf that I purchased, so you can read more about his features.

So this December, I have a special holiday surprise for all of you Elf on the Shelf fans out there…

A pair of legs hang down from the top of the image, showing only red, white and green striped stockings and a pair of green elf boots with tiny jingle bells on the end. This image accompanies the announcement that Elf on the Shelf will receive some free doll clothes sewing patterns at Chelly Wood dot com this December.

I’ve tried a number of different patterns on my Elf on the Shelf, to see what fits him and what doesn’t.

Oh my gosh, what a hilarious photo shoot this was! I can’t wait to share the pictures with you! Even if you don’t own an Elf on the Shelf, you’re going to love these funny silly photos of Elf on the Shelf in various items of doll clothing.

So be sure to pop in at ChellyWood.com, in spite of the rush of Christmas shopping and attending your kids’/grandkids’ musical performances and holiday plays, to get a good old-fashioned Santa-sized laugh!

The image shows the ChellyWood doll with a humorous face. Her tongue is sticking out, and she wears a huge smile. There's a dialog bubble above her head that says L O L with an exclamation point.
