Sew my “Peppermint Candy” dress for Spin Master La Dee Da dolls w/this free pattern @ ChellyWood.com #ChristmasCrafts #DollClothesPatterns

Standing in front of a mottled blue background, we see a very slender Spin Master La Dee Da doll wearing a handmade red and white holiday dress. The doll has a red hair clip in her curly purple hair. The dress has red cap sleeves and a red ruffle. The body of the dress is an A-line style, made of cotton, with a slightly scooped neck. The cotton of the body of this dress is white with red stripes in variations of thicknesses running vertically along the dress. This reminds the viewer of the stripes on traditional hard candy found in candy dishes at Christmas time. The Chelly Wood website logo appears in the lower right corner.

This pattern has been available here, on ChellyWood.com, for a number of other dolls, but today is the first time I’ve posted it for the Spin Master La Dee Da dolls.

I really like how this dress turned out, and it looks especially cute with its little cap sleeves!

To make this dress, you’ll need some small print cotton for the body of the dress (and here’s a link to holiday fabrics, if that’s what you want to use), and you’ll need some solid cotton or cotton blend for the cap sleeves and the ruffle. You’ll also need some tiny size 4/0 snaps for the back closure.

Please note that when you watch the tutorial video, you’ll see Monster High and Ever After High dolls wearing the dress in the video. Don’t be discouraged when you see them; this same dress does fit all the dolls in the list below…

Today’s pattern will fit these dolls:

A Spin Master La Dee Da doll models a "Christmas candy" dress with a ruffle and cap sleeves. The doll has purple hair, purple irises (in her eyes), and a tiny red hair clip. Her hands are spread wide, as if she's spinning around in circles to make the red ruffle of her dress flare out. The dress has an A-line style with cap sleeves and the ruffle is about an inch of solid red fabric, with its hemline just above the doll's knees. The bodice portion of the dress is white with red Christmas candy stripes. The ChellyWood.com logo appears in the lower right corner.
