Sew a “harvest themed” outfit for 4 to 5 inch dolls w/today’s free PDF sewing patterns @ ChellyWood.com #DollClothesPatterns #AnnaAndElsa

Anna from Frozen II (a mini toddler doll from Disney) seems to be in the middle of a song or dance, as her right hand is extended toward the viewer, her lips are parted, and her left hand is stretched out from her swirly skirt. She wears a white shirt with T-shirt-like sleeves and a tiny floofy harvest-patterned sunflower skirt in the colors maroon (background color), gold (sunflower print) and brown (the center of the tiny sunflowers. She wears maroon plastic flat shoes. The ChellyWood.com logo appears in the lower right corner.

Yesterday I gave you the skirt pattern and today I’m giving you patterns and tutorials for the whole outfit!

Several months ago, I first posted pictures of Anna wearing the Elsa-length skirt, which you can see below is a little longer. Today’s skirt is actually the shorter of the two skirt patterns on today’s free PDF.

In this photo, the 4 and 1/2 inch Disney Anna doll (from Disney's Frozen Arendell Royal Family boxed collection) stands facing slightly to the left of the viewer. Her hair is in pigtails and her head is at an angle to indicate that she’s curious about something. She wears a handmade white cotton shirt with a scoop neck and short sleeves. She wears a white skirt that's gathered at the waist and its cotton fabric is dotted with multicolored daisies in the colors of pale blue, bright blue, yellow, and red-with-pink. She wears burgundy colored flat shoes. She stands in a room with a purple background speckled with pastel colors. The floor is white. The ChellyWood.com logo appears in the corner of the image.

But, by comparison, Anna’s “sunflower harvest skirt” is really, really TINY, so I needed to put together a little tutorial for working with elastic cord instead of braided elastic before I could post today’s shorter skirt for Anna.

To read all the tips on how to use cord elastic instead of braided elastic for your miniature skirt, please click here.

So here we are at harvest time, and I have created another skirt, using my sunflower harvest fabric with the shorter skirt pattern.

In this photo, a Disney Mini Anna doll from Frozen II (part of the Arendelle family dolls set) wears a white cotton short sleeved shirt with a tiny maroon colored skirt that's dotted with miniature sunflowers. Her shoes are maroon. In this particular photo, she looks to the left of the viewer, in an upward glance, her blue eyes trained on something or someone we cannot see. The ChellyWood.com logo appears in the corner of the image.

To make today’s skirt, you’ll need some small print or solid cotton fabric and some elastic cord.

To make Anna’s little white cotton shirt, you’ll of course need some solid white 100% cotton fabric and a few tiny size 4/0 snaps. For a sewing project this small, you might also want to purchase some very small hand stitching needles (Dritz size 10 “betweens” is what I recommend).

If you’re not sure why I recommend sewing this tiny shirt by hand, you may want to read this blog post called “Why don’t my seams match up?”

Okay, but what if you want a cotton shirt with long sleeves? That’s not too hard, if you sign up for, my Creative Spark class, “How to Alter Doll Clothes Patterns,” which is now live on the Creative Spark platform. You can sign up any time you want!

In my class on Creative Spark, you’ll learn how to lengthen and shorten sleeves, how to lengthen and shorten the bodice portion of the shirt, and even how to re-size patterns — yes! You can take a Skipper pattern, for example, and shrink it down to fit Anna or Elsa with the skills you learn in “How to Alter Doll Clothes Patterns!” How cool is that?
