When my oldest daughter was in middle school, she was a big fan of Breyer model horses and Breyer Rider dolls. That’s when I made a lot of these doll clothes for dolls in the 8-inch to 9-inch size range, including this Victorian-looking dress, which fits both the Disney Tinkerbell fairy doll shown at the top of this page and a number of other dolls in this size range. (See the list below.)
The patterns I’m giving you today include the bonnet, the drawstring purse, the dress shown above, and also a little riding hood, which is shown here on a different doll:

Today’s Victorian-style dress project will require the use of a printed cotton fabric, a solid cotton fabric, some lace trim, and size 4/0 Dritz snaps.
Today’s free dress pattern will fit the following dolls:
- Monster High female dolls
- 8 inch Bratz dolls
- Ever After High dolls
- 8 inch Breyer Rider dolls
- Disney 9 and a half inch fairy dolls like Tinkerbell
- Mego 8-inch female action figures
- Hasbro World of Love vintage dolls

For the drawstring purse, use the rectangle that looks sort of like a business card as your pattern. That’s the rectangle found directly under the word “Style” on the pattern.

The Breyer rider doll appears on the pattern, but don’t let that bother you. It fits Tinkerbell, just as you can see at the top of the page.
