I’m back from my spring break vacation, and I’ve returned with a bunch of wonderful projects to work on! This week’s project is a purse that has a pocket on one side.

The image shows a Wellie Wisher doll holding up a purse that has been hand-sewn. The purse has a pocket in one side, and its lining uses fabric that matches the cute skirt and top that the Wellie Wisher doll wears in the image. The overlay offers the website, ChellyWood.com, where you can find free, printable sewing patterns to fit dolls of many shapes and sizes, including this very outfit that is being modeled by the Wellie Wisher.

On Wednesday I’ll post my free, printable pattern. On Thursday I’ll post a tutorial video showing you just how to make this cute little addition to your doll’s wardrobe!

And speaking of wardrobes, just look at all the great outfits I’ve made to fit my 13-to-17-inch dolls:

This image shows a wardrobe of many clothing items to fit Wellie Wishers, Hearts4Hearts Girls, Crissy dolls, BFF Ink dolls, and many other dolls in the 13- to 17- inch size range. Included in the wardrobe are the following doll clothes items shown in pastel colors: a pair of shorts with a pocket, a pair of shorts without a pocket, a purse, a tank top with round neck, a tank top with V-neck, a lace-sleeve shirt, a short-sleeve shirt, a skirt with handmade ruffle, a skirt with lace ruffle, a skirt with lace ruffle and rickrack, a skirt with a floral embellishment, and a skirt made of London-print fabric in pink (showing the Tower of Big Ben, London Bridge, Brittish bobbies, and more), a pair of jeans without a pocket, and a pair of khaki pants with a pocket. All patterns and tutorial videos showing how to make these outfits are provided for free at ChellyWood.com.

Yes, I stayed busy during my vacation, and I sewed my little heart out! All outfits shown above have been designed and photographed for tutorial videos and patterns. They should fit Wellie Wishers, Hearts4Hearts Girls, and possibly some additional dolls like BFC Ink dolls, Crissy dolls, and maybe some others.

I’m going to try them on various 13- to 17-inch dolls to see which ones these clothes will fit. Then I still need to put together all the different tutorial videos to post on my YouTube channel.

So I have a few projects ahead of me, but I’m looking forward to sharing my sewing adventures with everyone! Watch for these free patterns and tutorials in the weeks and months to come in 2019!

This week, though, we’ll focus on making the little purse, the first in this series of projects:

The image shows Consuelo, the Hearts4Hearts Girl doll wearing handmade clothes including a shirt, pants with a pocket, and a purse with a side pocket. She stands in front of a stump, and she has plastic Mary Jane style shoes on her feet. The color of the shoes match the color of her short-sleeve, V-neck shirt. The color of the purse is akin to the khaki-grey color of the pants she wears. In the corner of the image is a watermark stating where you can find free printable sewing patterns for making this outfit: ChellyWood.com
