If I had to get rid of all my dolls’ shoes and only keep one or two pairs, I’m sure I’d choose my Momoko doll shoes.

Momoko is a doll that’s popular with adult collectors in Japan. Because she’s primarily collected by adults, her shoes have awesome detailing.

The boots that appear at the top of today’s blog post are designed for Momoko. Check out those laces!

Here we see a close-up image of an 8 inch Breyer Rider doll's jeans and red boots. The red boots are very detailed, having a cream-colored tread, red rubbery-looking exterior, a black seam where the rubber meets the tread, and even a tiny white stitching line that shows where the boot and tread are joined. These boots are worn by an 8 inch Breyer Rider doll as the model, but they were designed for Momoko dolls.

My red Momoko boots have little stitch marks and treads on the bottom of them.

The cool thing about Momoko’s shoes is that they sometimes fit other dolls too. That’s a Petite Barbie wearing the black boots at the top of this page, and it’s an 8 inch Breyer Rider wearing the red ones just above.

But my favorite shoes for Momoko are a pair of red Mary Janes!

A black or African American Mattel Stacie doll models a pair of handmade socks, and this close-up shows the socks and the lower portion of the brown pleated houndstooth skirt under which her tiny yellow socks are showing. Her feet are standing together, with her little shiny red Mary Janes strapped on. This Stacie doll is about as cute as a doll can be!

  1. Oh wow, those are adorable! I’ve never seen anything like them. I used to have a pair of pale green rubber trainers for one doll, they were great because they were stretchy and flexible for putting on and taking off, but they were not as cute as these! I love those socks too. 😀

  2. Dear Chelly, my favorite pair of doll shoes is the vintage Barbie pumps from the late ’80s and all of the ’90s which are called by collectors as Minnie Mouse shoes. They come in various colors to match Barbie fashions.

    1. Oh my gosh! Those Creatable World doll shoes are amazing! Honestly, I’d like to add a few more to my own collection.

      The cool thing about the Creatable World doll shoes is that they seem to fit a lot of other dolls that I can’t find shoes for. Which is wonderful!

      Sindy can wear them, for example, and Tammy.
