Today’s pattern makes such a lovely little dress! But I’m also really excited about today’s tutorial, which will show you how to create a collar from bias tape, as well as how to stitch a 3-inch zipper into a doll’s dress.
If you’ve never sewn a zipper or collar on a doll’s dress before, you may learn a lot by watching today’s tutorial, even if you’re not sewing anything for Elsa.
Please note: you may want some tulle, as well, which will make your skirt very full. However this is optional.
Today’s pattern will fit these dolls:
- Monster High female dolls
- Ever After High female dolls
- Kuu Kuu Harajuku dolls
- Snapstar dolls
- 6″ classic Breyer Rider dolls (1:12 scale)
- 7 inch Lottie dolls
- 6.75 inch Strawberry Shortcake dolls (17 cm)
- Disney’s 5 inch Elsa Toddler dolls

If you sort of like this pattern, but you really wish it was a little bit different… hold that thought! What you’re doing in your mind is called pattern alteration, and I actually teach a class on that very concept! Click here for more information.
And I’m also teaching a brand new course, that shows you how to design your own pants patterns — including overalls, leggings, and fly-front pants — entirely from scratch. The cost of this new class is only $19.99, and you get free patterns with it too. Click here to check it out.
