Sew a fancy lace-trim dress for Bratz dolls with today’s free pattern @ ChellyWood.com #BratzDolls #DollClothesPatterns

In a tiny diorama, we see a Bratz doll with long brown hair staring at a painting of the Notre Dame cathedral in Paris. The painting is a famous one by Claud Monet. On the wall behind her is another Monet water lilies painting. And behind her is a bust of Beethoven. She seems to be in art museum, enjoying the lovely artwork. The walls of the museum are purple, but they have been painted to look like purple wooden slats. The doll wears a felt sleeveless dress that has a long swatch of lace attached at the bottom to form a sort of wedding gown. Behind the veneer of the lace, you can see that the doll is wearing knee-high white plastic boots, to match her lovely felt dress with long lace trim.

My regular followers will recognize this pattern. It’s the pattern for the purple felt dress with eyelet trim. Remember this dress on the far right?

The images shows and names all four of the original World of Love dolls from Hasbro. They are shown in the following order: Love, Soul, Flower, and Peace. Each of them wears a handmade outfit. Love wears a miniskirt with matching short sleeve top. Soul wears a long-sleeved shirt with pink ankle pants. Flower wears a longer pair of pants with a sleeveless felt shirt. Peace wears a short-skirted dress made of felt, and the dress is trimmed in matching purple eyelet (to match the felt of the dress). If you would like to learn to sew these outfits for your 8 inch or 9 inch dolls, please visit ChellyWood.com where you can download the patterns for free and watch a sewing tutorial video showing how to make these doll clothes, many of which are quite easy to make.

But now, instead of using a 3/4 inch eyelet trim, we’re adding a 2 and a half inch lace trim to the same dress, for more of a formal gown:

In the same museum diorama that we saw earlier, the Bratz doll now stands beside a famous painting of Romeo and Juliet. On the purple wall behind her is a painted mardi gras mask. She stands with her back to the water lilies painting and the bust of Beethoven. Her dress's long white lace trim floats around her white plastic boots. Her dress, once again, is made of white felt, like a wedding dress or a summer dress, with lace trim that floats clear down to the hardwood floor at the base of the museum.
