I’ve had this pattern available here, as a JPG image, for several years now, but today is the first time I’ve posted these patterns as a PDF.

And I have some good news… In case you didn’t read yesterday’s blog post, my Creative Spark class, “How to Alter Doll Clothes Patterns” is now live on the Creative Spark platform. You can sign up any time you want!

And don’t panic if it seems like too much to take on right now — sometimes our lives get really busy after the holidays. I get that. But for any class on Creative Spark, you actually have one full year to complete the course before the class is considered closed, so jump in! Get your feet wet!

In fact, you can use today’s free fashion doll ball gown pattern for one of the projects in my class. We’ll be learning how to lengthen and shorten skirts, how to make skirts more or less full, and even how to add a waistband to a skirt. Can you imagine these alterations to the patterns I’m giving you today?

To make today’s dress with lace overlay, you’ll need some cotton solid-colored fabric, some craft felt (for the bodice under the lace), some lace fabric, some tulle, and some size 4/0 Dritz snaps.
