Sew a Pretty Gingham #DollDress for #FashionDolls w/FREE Pattern and #Crafty Tutorial @ ChellyWood.com

On Monday I showed everyone a preview of the doll dresses I’ve made for Valentine’s Day. Last week I shared my free patterns. (You’ll need the flouncy skirt dress pattern for this tutorial.) Today I’m sharing the YouTube video that shows you exactly how to make the Valentine’s Day dress with the short skirt, but please note that you don’t want to cut the skirt on the fold as the pattern would suggest; instead just cut a single length of skirt for this tutorial.

You may have noticed that this pattern has an adaptation for Liv Dolls. Be careful to cut the bodice slightly smaller (follow the line I’ve provided on the pattern) for Liv Dolls.

Need help printing my patterns? This link will take you to a tutorial showing you how to download my free, printable patterns.

If you’re wondering why I make patterns and tutorials without charging a fee, please visit the “Chelly’s Books” page, and that should explain my general motivations. Overall, I love to sew, design doll clothes, and embroider, and I think it’s important to share my talents with the world, so others can learn to do what I do.

Want to show your appreciation for my free patterns and tutorials? Please do so by likingpinning, tweeting, and/or somehow sharing this video with others. Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Thank you very much for sharing! Excellent straight forward video tutorial! Easy to follow & good video closeups for my poor eyesight!
