Last Thursday I published a YouTube short, showing me making my hand-painted Celtic knots, and I announced that it would be available as a fabric you could purchase in my Spoonflower store. I’ve entered my Celtic knots fabric design in the Spoonflower Design Challenge contest, and I’d love it if you’d vote for my fabric!
Here’s the link to the contest. Look for “Small Celtic Knots in the Snow” by Chelly Wood. It looks like this:

The window of opportunity to vote ends on Tuesday, September 9th. You have to vote for three different fabrics, and my fabric is found in the challenge titled, “Autumn Hunt Club,” but if you happen to be an animal lover, there are plenty of fabrics with a conservation theme (be kind to animals, for example), which you can add as your two extra votes.
If I win this challenge, I will earn Spoondollars to purchase fabric. Even if I only take, say 100th place, I earn a little bit of money to buy my own fabric with. So every vote counts!
I’m new to this challenge, so I don’t expect to take first place of course, but if I did, that would earn me $200 in credit for the purchase of fabrics down the road. This would, of course, be a great benefit for me and my website! So please do consider taking the time to cast your vote for “Small Celtic Knots in the Snow.”
Thanks!

Chelly, I was hoping to give you all three votes but alas you have to come back to vote again. I had a hard time finding your entry since you gave a closeup and they posted a far-off view. The third time was the charm (bottom of page 1) but they said it’s random so it will be elsewhere next time. I have searched for certain fabrics on Spoonflower but never had any success in what I was looking for in doll size prints and Asian fabrics.
I’m hoping to make more doll-sized prints. It seems like the bigger prints get more votes in the challenge, though, because like you said, it’s hard to find it when it’s a smaller print. So the next time I upload something to Spoonflower for the contest, I may design two patterns: one will be bigger (so people can find it in the contest) and the other will be a tiny small print for making doll clothes.
I’m up for ideas. Let me know what kinds of fabrics you would like me to design.
I love the idea of doing Asian fabrics, but I want to stay away from anything that would be considered “cultural appropriation.” Since I’m part Scottish, I thought Celtic knots would be a good theme for me to work with.
Just so your followers know: you might have to get on the vote site multiple times before a certain design comes up. They have so many submissions, you don’t see them all at once like you used to be able to do. I’ve been on twice now, and your Celtic Knots have not come up for me yet. Fortunately, I have been buying from Spoonflower for quite a few years now and knew this ahead of time. I will keep trying until the voting closes. And I will let you know how many times it took to find your design.
Yeah, I’m sorry that isn’t easier. I do have a shop, but you can’t vote from my Spoonflower shop for some reason.
