Shoe swap! Let’s see what dolls can fit in these shoes… #Dolls #DollShoes #FridayFollow

I follow Dodi’s Shop of Stuff on eBay because Dodi has such a great selection of cool Barbie collectibles and miniatures. I also consider Dodi a real-life friend, and she’s the lady who runs Dodi’s Shop of Stuff.

Well today I’m sharing my unboxing video for a set of “Little Extras” shoes for Posable Barbies. I’ve posted this video before, but every now and then, I like to give Dodi’s eBay business a shout-out because she has provided me with some of my all-time favorite doll shoes!

A rainbow of shoes arcs across the center of the photo. These shoes can be described left to right as follows: red flats, black flats, blue slippers with tiny white flowers atop the slippers' cushioned area at the front of the foot, and pink Mary Janes. The ChellyWood.com logo appears in the corner of the photo.

Dodi states very clearly on her eBay store item postings that these shoes are for “Flat Footed Posable Dolls,” and if you know your Barbie collectible facts, you’ll know that Mattel made these Posable Dolls for a brief time, I believe from the late 1990’s to the early 2000’s.

This is what the Posable Barbies’ feet look like, just so you understand which dolls these shoes are designed to fit:

An image shows the bare feet of a plastic Barbie doll. One foot is resting on its heel with the toes in the air, showing that the foot is truly flat, hard, and shaped like a normal human foot. The other foot is resting nearly flat on the floor with the toes pointed slightly toward the camera. The toys are lightly defined. The feet appear under a salmon-colored ruffle from a skirt. The Chelly Wood dot com logo appears in one corner of the image.

In today’s video, I try the shoes on 12 different dolls. Some of my dolls do fit in the shoes, and one variety of dolls fits the shoes wonderfully! Watch the video to see what I learned…

If you’re interested in buying some of these Mattel “Little Extras” shoes, Dodi’s Shop of Stuff on eBay has them up for sale at what I think is a very reasonable price (considering they’re a hard-to-find size). Her store offers lots of other doll shoes as well.

Right now she’s selling some shoes for the little boy Kelly dolls, “Tommy,” and I think these shoes are probably very hard to find. So I wanted to suggest that all of you go check out her store, while some of these rarer objects are still in stock!

And here’s my posable Barbie, in a “Red Hat Society” dress that I made for her a while back, so you get a more complete look at the type of doll that can wear these flat-footed “posable Barbie” shoes, that I’m very fond of:

In this photo, a flat-footed Barbie from the 1980's models a handmade red sleeveless dress with a U-shaped neckline and knee-length gathered skirt. The hat she wears uses the same red fabric printed with tiny multicolored hats as the dress (on the hat's underside). The hat and dress make up the "Red Hat Society" ensemble that Chelly Wood made to sell in her online shop at Chelly Wood dot com. The red plastic shoes are not for sale.

  1. Chelly! Your such a dear. I thank you so much for being wonderful person. Your patterns and knowledge are fascinating. And Mattel dolls especially for Barbie, have had and continue to have ever-changing feet shapes and sizes. These shoes featured also fit Liv and Teen Jazzie. They will not fit the post 2010 flatt footed dolls. And as always if a buyer mentions you when buying from my store I give them 10% off. Also if they are local some of my items are at a shop in Twin Falls.
