Please click on the image of the doll you’d like to learn more about. It will take you to the original article that I wrote, after researching that doll or type of dolls.
My website counts on your generous donations, income from class fees, and the purchase of goods to maintain the storage space for the hundreds of free doll clothes sewing patterns found here. Please consider making a purchase from my online store, donating, or taking one of my online classes to show your support.
Chelly Wood, the author of these articles, is a doll clothing designer, YouTuber, and regular contributor to Doll Castle News. She worked as a school librarian for ten years, so as part of her job, she taught middle-school-aged children how to do research, how to properly cite their research sources, and how to verify information by cross-referencing their research sources.

Chelly, where did you get that book? It really interests me. Thank you for all your information, and your terrific work. GOD BLESS YOU.
I’m glad you’re finding the topic interesting! I didn’t use books for most of this research. I’ve been visiting online museums, learning about the dolls, and generally doing a lot of research about each doll.
I’ve been trying to include a bibliography of my resources at the end of each blog post. Let me know if I forgot one, though! You can use the links I’ve provided to learn more about each doll, as you read the articles.
I suppose I could write a book of my own! I have an agent who’s trying to help me get one of my books published, so maybe the history of dolls would be a good book for me to look into writing…
That would be wonderful! thank you for sharing.
