Let’s make a pair of jeans with back pockets for Tall Barbie Dolls! #DollClothesPatterns #FreeStuff

For your free patterns and additional tutorial videos, please scroll down to the third set of bullets.

Today’s tutorial video (above) shows you how to make a pair of pants or jeans with optional back pockets, and this pattern doesn’t fit a regular Barbie; rather, it was designed, by me, to fit the Mattel Tall Barbie from the Fashionista lineup.

To those of you who follow my website pretty regularly, you may have seen this pattern before, but today is the first time I’ve provided the pants pattern as a PDF. It was only available as a JPG image of the pants/jeans pattern in the past, like the one you see below.

This is the JPG version of a free printable PDF sewing pattern for making an ironing board out of cardboard, along with the free doll clothes sewing patterns for making a pair of pants or jeans with a pocket, to fit Tall Barbie and similar sized dolls. The pattern has been marked with the Creative Commons Attribution symbol and the Chelly Wood dot com logo. The PDF version is available free of charge at Chelly Wood dot com.

And as you can see in the image above, today’s pants pattern includes a pattern for making my little mini ironing board, which you see in so many of my tutorial videos! Navigate over to the Dioramas gallery to find the ironing board’s cover patterns, as well as the instructional video for making the ironing board.

The image shows a hand-made ironing board with cover. The website where you can find the patterns for both the ironing board and it's cover is displayed: ChellyWood.com This ironing board is made to fit 1:6 scale dioramas or dollhouses.

To make today’s doll clothes project, you may need the following items:

When buying fabric for making doll clothes, you can order a third of a yard and that’s usually more than enough. (In fact, you’ll probably have plenty of fabric left over to make another outfit.)

Also, although they exist elsewhere on this website, I’m going to incorporate both the short-sleeved and the long-sleeved shirt patterns in today’s blog post’s free printable PDF sewing pattern download.

Figure 1 shows a Tall Barbie with an Asian face and long black hair, modeling a pair of white lightweight denim jeans and a short sleeved peace-sign-print cotton fabric shirt. Figure 2 shows the same Tall Barbie from the Fashionista line wearing a pair of white trousers with red topstitching under a navy blue floral print long-sleeved top.

I don’t know of any other dolls that will fit this pattern, but if you do, please let everyone know in the comments section!

  1. I have two Tall Fashionistas Barbie dolls and two Made to Move tall bodied Barbie dolls. Will the jeans pattern fit the latter?

    1. I didn’t know they were making Tall MTM Barbies. That’s way cool! (I’m gonna have to get me one.)

Unfortunately, though, this means I can’t answer your question. But maybe another follower can. Hopefully someone will see this comment and come to your rescue.
