Today’s free sun dress pattern may look familiar to you. That’s because it has been available on this website as a JPG-only pattern. Today I’m converting it to a PDF pattern for your easy download.

You’ll also notice, in the image at the top of today’s blog post, that the doll wears a pair of shorts under this mini-skirt sundress. The shorts pattern is also provided before.

And yes, I actually took these photos in Paris! Back in about 2014, my youngest daughter and I took a trip to Paris, where I took hundreds of photos of my dolls in various Parisian settings. The image above shows Petite Barbie in front of Montmartre Cathedral.

To make this dress, you will need some craft felt, cotton fabric, and 1/8 inch Offray ribbon. As you can see in the image above, the back closure uses size 2/0 snaps, not Velcro, because I’ve found that Velcro can get tangled up in the felt.

Be sure to cut your skirt fabric (the cotton fabric), using the shorter skirt pattern. There’s a line on the pattern page that says, “Cut here for short skirt,” so you’ll want to use that shorter skirt pattern.
