Time for New Year’s Resolutions… What doll clothes patterns should I design in 2026? #NewYear2026 #SewingGoals

The Chelly Wood doll holds up her digital sewing planner called, "My Sewing Goals," which has a typed list of Chelly's goals for her New Year's resolution (all of which are mentioned in the accompanying blog post as well).

Yes, it’s time for me to set my New Year’s resolutions. I’d love your help. Please scroll down to the bottom of today’s blog post and let me know what doll clothes you’d like me to design (and for which dolls) in 2026.

I’m looking for ideas! Please submit a comment.

Now, did I achieve last year’s goals? Mostly, no. (I think I set the bar WAY too high.) Here’s how things unfolded:

Nope. I didn’t finish that goal. See yesterday’s blog post for details.

Nope. I’m still working on my memoir. Wish me luck!

Yes. I did achieve this. 🙂

I shouldn’t have crossed this out! I worked on a Judy Littlechap wardrobe. It’s not done, but I did work on it.

So yeah, I kind of achieved it.

Actually, I did make a few patterns for Baby Alive this year. Only one has been posted on ChellyWood.com so far, but I feel this goal was successful in part.

Actually, yes. I didn’t sell these dolls, but I did give them away with the wardrobes I created. So again, I do feel like this goal was achieved.

I’m still working on this. I know I have a real knack for doll clothes design, but I’m learning that my shoebox craft skills are not that great… 🙃

YES! I did this one. YAY! (It feels really good too!)

How about you guys? What were some of your New Year’s resolutions in 2025, and did you achieve them?

And also, please leave your doll clothes pattern requests for my 2026 Goal Setting sheet in the “Comments” section below. I’ll wait to set my goals until I hear from you.

Judy, I saw that you have already submitted a request for clothes that fit Little Mismatched, but let me know, in the comments (if you haven’t already on yesterday’s post), what kind of clothes should I make for her? Is there anything, in particular, you’re hoping I will design?

Thanks in advance everyone!
