Yes, the first frog pincushion that I posted for sale in my online store was sold within minutes of posting it… Wow! Thank you to my regular follower (and friend) who kindly purchased it! But I have been busily making more of these, in the hope that I can find them each a new home.

Here’s the story behind my froggy pincushions… I ran across a series of little batik style frogs on squares of fabric at my local thrift store (see image below), and as I am a fan of frogs, I brought them home and decided to make them into pincushions. That’s how this frog pincushion came to be. It’s as simple as that.

Today I’m putting the second of these frog-themed pincushions up for sale in my Chelly Wood online store for the very reasonable price of $4.99 plus $7 shipping, for a total of $11.99. Click on the links to the store, if you want to purchase it. Although they have some similarities, each of my frog pincushions will be unique, one-of-a-kind items.

I stuffed this pincushion very tightly with fiber fill, so pins will go in and out easily. It’s about two inches (four centimeters) tall all the way around, so you shouldn’t have to angle your pins and needles to prevent them from poking through at the bottom.

I’m including 20+ little straight pins with the purchase of this frog pincushion. These straight pins are slightly smaller than average, with about 2 centimeters of metal extending from the ball head. That means they’re just under one inch long.

So the straight pins are perfect for pinning little tiny doll clothes pattern pieces!

If you wanted to purchase this frog pin cushion but don’t place your order quickly enough to grab it up, I advise you to follow my Etsy store because I may post the next ones there to compare sales data.

And as I said when I posted the green frog pincushion (the first one I sold), I’m learning how to sell my handmade items online, so feel free to leave your sales advice in the comments! Thank you!
