Today I’m sharing my free, printable PDF sewing pattern for making this sweet little strappy sundress with a “cottage core” feel to it. I first designed this pattern to fit the Rainbow High dolls, but I’ve since discovered that it will fit a number of other dolls too.
So yes, this dress will fit the 1980’s version of Mattel’s Skipper (and similar-sized dolls).
To make this dress, all you’ll need is the cotton fabric of your choice and something to close the dress in back. The video suggests that you use snaps to close the back, but you could also use a narrow strip of sew-on Velcro to close the dress in the back.
Today’s dress pattern will fit these dolls*:
- Petite Barbie dolls
- Skipper dolls
- Project MC Squared dolls
- Disney’s 10 inch Moana dolls
- Rainbow High 10 and a half inch dolls
- 9 inch Harry Potter female dolls
- Vintage Skipper from the 1980’s
