Free dress pattern for 8 inch baby dolls @ ChellyWood.com #DollClothes #HolidaySewing

A purple cotton fabric with tiny white polka dots frames a photo of a miniature table-top Christmas Tree that has tiny wrapped gifts under it and miniature Christmas tree ornaments on it. The words "Holiday-themed blog posts" float above the Chelly Wood dot com logo.

It’s December! Let’s get that holiday sewing done!

To make the dress pictured above, you’ll need some small print holiday cotton fabric, 1/8 inch elastic, and size 3/0 Dritz snaps.

Below are the links to the patterns and tutorial videos that will help you create today’s candy cane dress, which is pictured at the top of this post.

I also have a free pattern for a diaper to fit 8″ dolls. You can check out that post here:

These patterns were designed to fit the 8-inch Lil’ Cutesies dolls that are produced by JC Toys. Follow that link to purchase one of these dolls, for your future Christmas gift-giving! (I am not specifically affiliated with the JC Toys company, but I have been very impressed with the quality of the Lil’ Cutesies dolls.)

Since all of my patterns and tutorials use the Creative Commons Attribution mark, please show your appreciation for these free patterns and tutorial videos by liking them on Facebook, pinning them on Pinterest, and/or tweeting about them.

If this post looks familiar to you, that’s because it’s a re-post of a series of patterns I did just before Christmas time in 2018.

Are you wondering why I’m reposting older blog posts on holiday themes? I’m making time to create some wonderful paid courses that will teach you about doll clothing design! Click here to learn more.

The JC Toys company has given me permission to use the Lil’ Cutesies dolls in my paid courses with Creative Spark, so I’m very pleased about that! Especially since these dolls are truly adorable, with detailed features like little “real baby” wrinkles on their fingers and toes.

I highly recommend these dolls as holiday gifts for children. And I don’t recommend dolls lightly. I own two of the Lil’ Cutesies dolls because I enjoy photographing them so much!
