Believe it or not, I actually use my own doll clothes patterns when I’m planning to make doll clothes for my niece or one of my cousins’ kids. Today I went to my own website, ChellyWood.com to find the pattern for making the argyle shorts shown above, and I couldn’t find it. Ugh!

I could find this pattern:

But what happened to those argyle shorts? I didn’t see any links to the patterns, the tutorials, or even the basic images!

As my regular followers know, last summer was a period of transition for this website. I had been losing patterns without realizing it because my gallery page had gotten WAY too large for my website host’s limits. Crazy, right?

So I embarked upon the enormous task of re-organizing this websites into mini-galleries for each of the dolls I’ve designed for. As you might imagine, a few of my patterns went astray during this re-design.

The pattern for the Tammy doll argyle shorts is one of those that flew off into Cyberspace without leaving any clues as to its whereabouts.

Thankfully I have backups of all my patterns, tutorials, and most images.

So this week I’m going to feature the argyle shorts again, but with a new adaptation. The previous incarnation of these shorts was only a JPG image, not a PDF.

On Wednesday this week, I’ll not only offer links to the tutorials for making the shorts and top, but I’ll also be posting a new PDF form for downloading both the shirt and the shorts patterns.

This argyle shorts pattern comes with the pants pattern included as a set, so if you want to make the outfit below, you’ll have a PDF of that pants pattern as well:
